Vintage reclaimed pine floor with a half-sawn log as a base. Yakisugi is a traditional Japanese method of wood preservation that involves charring wood to protect it from decay, insects, mold, and fire. The burnt results are burnished with sandpaper and wire brushed. Sealed with oils.
